Chestnuts Honey St Maria 500gr

Honey "Santa Maria" is produced in the mountain areas of the Municipality of Valpaços, characterized by extensive chestnut plantations. It is a unique honey with a distinct flavor from others. In 2018, this honey received the gold medal, in the Chestnut Honey category in organic production, at the 9th Honey Competition in Portugal.

This flowering is found above 800 meters of altitude where heather (Ericaarborea) and queiró (Erica umbellata) predominate, as well as oak (Quercus faginea). Heather honey has a dark color, with a strong and intense taste, deeply accentuating its odour.
