Unlike its siblings, it is crafted entirely from 100% Syrah grown on a small 4-hectare plot of poor, water-scarce schistous soil (solo de xisto).

Because Syrah grapes grown on Alentejo schist yield immense flavor concentration, compact tannins, and high natural extract, Vinha do Jeremias possesses excellent cellaring potential.

2019 / 2020 Vintages: These early iterations are hitting a spectacular stride. The bold, smoky elements from the new American and French oak have rounded out. They are in their prime and will continue to drink brilliantly through 2034.
2021 Vintage: A structured and powerful vintage. It is approachable now with decanting but will integrate beautifully and reach its peak drinking window between 2027 and 2036.
2022 Vintage: Sourced from an abnormally dry, hot viticultural year that yielded highly concentrated fruit. Famed critic James Suckling noted its fleshy, medium-to-full body and bright linear acidity, declaring it a great candidate to "drink or hold". It will hit its optimal sweet spot from 2028 through 2038.
How the Wine Evolves in the Cellar
- 0–5 Years (Youth): Marked by explosive aromatic power. You will encounter dominant primary notes of wild blackberries, fresh violets, cocoa, and heavy black pepper.
