Because it relies on premium Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz grapes sourced from Dão's finest old vine plots, it possesses the high volume, firm structural tannins, and vibrant natural acidity required to age beautifully over time.

Short to Mid-Term (1–5 years from release): The wine is bold, fat, and voluminous. Its intense primary notes of fresh strawberry, black pepper, menthol, and pine resin (caruma) are bright, with well-integrated spice from the wood.
Long-Term Peak (6–12+ years):
The firm, striking tannins completely round out, shifting the palate into a remarkably smooth, velvety texture. The fresh red fruits evolve into secondary dried fruit, tobacco, and complex spice nuances.
