This Borges Soalheira Vintage Port 2012 is produced with grapes from the Quinta that gives it its name and signed by the responsible oenologist of SVB, José Maria Machado. It presents an intense and dark ruby color, on the nose the presence of black fruits such as blackberries and ripe black plums is intense. It has a floral aroma, with hints of violets and a fresh, resinous sensation like mint and eucalyptus.

The grapes are gently pressed on arrival at the winery and only the free-run must is used, which is clarified by flotation. Fermentation is then begun at controlled temperatures between 16 - 18ºC. When alcoholic fermentation is complete the wine ages on the fine lees for 4 months, after which it is blended and prepared for bottling.
