This wine is obtained from grapes of Viosinho and Moscatel Galego Branco varietals originated from several plots of vineyard planted at 140 meters of altitude.
Behind Adega Cartuxa [Cartuxa Winery] is a great family, the Eugénio de Almeida family. Let’s go back to 1913, the year Vasco Maria was born into one of the most influential families of the 19th century. Born in Lisbon, he soon established links with Évora and Alentejo, where the family had an extensive heritage. Vasco Maria always considered people to be the most valuable variable on the basis of which he organised all his efforts. These included revitalising winemaking and planting a vast area of olive groves just a few kilometres from Évora, which resulted in the wines and olive oils produced to this day.
Planalto Wine is a dry Portuguese white wine that is ideal for a casual night out with friends. Wine from high-altitude vineyards cools down and extends the life of the grapes used.
Citrus colour, fine and intense aroma, with hints of tropical fruits. On the palate the acidity is still present and married to the sweetness of the fruit.

Siza Vieira brought the unmistakable trace of this winery. So the landscape is designed, so the wines that make this Adega Mayor are designed. Removed without crushing, fermentation in stainless steel deposits at 25ºC and daily return. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, where the wine remained for 18 months. Aged for 12 months in bottle before going to the market.
