This organic heather honey is produced in the Barroso region, more specifically, in the municipality of Montalegre. This flowering is found above 800 meters of altitude where heather (Ericaarborea) and queiró (Erica umbellata) predominate, as well as oak (Quercus faginea). Heather honey has a dark color, with a strong and intense taste, deeply accentuating its odour.

Multifloral honey from Mel Santa Maria is produced in the transition from the hot land to the cold land, it is a high quality genuine honey, with an amber tone, with a sweet aroma and flavor, due to the concentration of fructose.
